2008\uff09\u3002\u6309\u50a8\u5b58\u80fd\u529b\u5212\u5206\uff0c\u5176\u4e2d\u6700\u53ef\u884c\u7684\u5c01\u5b58\u5730\u70b9\u662f\u67af\u7aed\u7684\u6cb9\u6c14\u85cf\u3001\u65e0\u6cd5\u5f00\u91c7\u7684\u7164\u5c42\u548c\u6df1\u5c42\u76d0\u6c34\u5c42\u3002<\/li>\n<li>\u6df1\u5c42\u76d0\u6c34\u5c42\u662f\u50a8\u5b58\u4e8c\u6c27\u5316\u78b3\u7684\u6700\u4f73\u5c01\u5b58\u5730\u70b9\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u76d0\u6c34\u5c42\u5b58\u5728\u4e8e\u4e16\u754c\u4e0a\u5927\u591a\u6570\u5730\u533a\uff0c\u800c\u4e14\u5176\u50a8\u5b58\u5bb9\u91cf\u5f88\u5927\u3002\u76ee\u524d\u5bf9\u76d0\u6c34\u5c42\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u8fd8\u4e0d\u591f\u6df1\u5165\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u4e3a\u4e86\u66f4\u597d\u5730\u4e86\u89e3\u9971\u548c\u6c34\u7684\u7802\u5ca9\u5730\u8d28\u60c5\u51b5\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u7802\u5ca9\u4e0a\u65b9\u4f5c\u4e3a\u6d41\u52a8\u5c4f\u969c\u7684\u9875\u5ca9\uff0c\u4eba\u4eec\u6b63\u5728\u8fdb\u884c\u66f4\u591a\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u3002\u800c\u5bf9\u4e8e\u5730\u5c42\u4e2dCO<sub>2<\/sub>\u548c\u76d0\u6c34\u7684\u6eb6\u89e3\u5ea6\u4ee5\u53ca\u5316\u5b66\u53cd\u5e94\u7684\u7814\u7a76\uff0c\u5219\u8f83\u4e3a\u5b8c\u5584\u3002<\/li>\n<li>\u672c\u9879\u76ee\u4ecb\u7ecd\u4e86\u72b9\u4ed6\u5ddeGordon Creek\u6cb9\u7530\u7684\u76d0\u6c34\u5c42CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u5c01\u5b58\u7684\u6a21\u62df\u7814\u7a76\u3002\u672c\u6b21\u9879\u76ee\u662f\u4e8c\u6c27\u5316\u78b3\u5c01\u5b58\u7684\u8bd5\u70b9\u9879\u76ee\u524d\u9a71\uff0c\u57284\u5e74\u5185\u6ce8\u5165\u4e8c\u6c27\u5316\u78b3294\u4e07\u5428\u3002\u5229\u7528\u6a21\u62df\u6765\u8868\u5f81\u5730\u8d28\u6784\u9020\u3001\u6c34\u7279\u5f81\u3001\u50a8\u5c42\u6d41\u52a8\u7279\u6027\u3001\u76d6\u5c42\u7279\u5f81\u7684\u5f71\u54cd\u7a0b\u5ea6\uff0c\u5e76\u786e\u5b9aNavajo\u548cEntrada\u7802\u5ca9\u7684\u5408\u7406\u6ce8\u5165\u76ee\u6807\u3002\u5229\u7528Nexus\u4e2d\u7684GRIDGENR\u6a21\u5757\u548cNavajo\u5730\u5c42\u7684\u521d\u7ea7\u6784\u9020\u7b49\u9ad8\u7ebf\u56fe\u4ee5\u53ca\u76ee\u6807\u533a\u57df\u7684\u6d4b\u4e95\u66f2\u7ebf\uff0c\u5efa\u7acb\u4e86\u8be5\u533a\u57df\u7684\u6a21\u62df\u6a21\u578b\u3002\u5229\u7528LESA\u6d4b\u4e95\u5206\u6790\u8f6f\u4ef6\u548cGordon Creek 1\u53f7\u4e95\u7684\u6d4b\u4e95\u8d44\u6599\u786e\u5b9a\u4e86\u5ca9\u77f3\u7269\u7406\u6027\u8d28\u3002\u5229\u7528CMG\u8f6f\u4ef6\u6a21\u62df\u4e86CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u6ce8\u5165\u542b\u6c34\u5c42\u7684\u8fc7\u7a0b\u3002<\/li>\n<li>CMG\u7528\u4e8e\u6a21\u62df\u6c14\u4f53\u6355\u96c6\u8fc7\u7a0b\u4e2d\u7684\u6b8b\u4f59\u6c14\u9971\u548c\u5ea6\u3001CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u5728\u76d0\u6c34\u4e2d\u7684\u6eb6\u89e3\u5ea6\u4ee5\u53ca\u6c34\u3001\u5ca9\u77f3\u548cCO<sub>2<\/sub>\u4e2d\u77ff\u7269\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u5316\u5b66\u53cd\u5e94\u3002\u7814\u7a76\u4eba\u5458\u5206\u6790\u4e86\u4e0d\u540c\u5c01\u5b58\u673a\u5236\u4e0b\u7684\u50a8\u5b58\u4e8c\u6c27\u5316\u78b3\u80fd\u529b\u3001\u6d41\u5165\u50a8\u5c42\u7684\u6d41\u5411\u548c\u5bc6\u5c01\u6027\u80fd\u3002\u8bd5\u70b9\u9879\u76ee\u7684\u6ce8\u5165\u76ee\u6807\u4e5f\u5f97\u5230\u4e86\u9a8c\u8bc1\u3002<\/li>\n<li>\u672c\u6b21\u9879\u76ee\u5bf9\u6700\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u50a8\u5c42\u53c2\u6570\u8fdb\u884c\u4e86\u654f\u611f\u6027\u5206\u6790\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u76d0\u6c34\u77ff\u5316\u5ea6\u3001\u6e29\u5ea6\u3001\u6b8b\u4f59\u6c14\u9971\u548c\u5ea6\u548c\u521d\u59cb\u538b\u529b\u3002\u5b9a\u91cf\u7814\u7a76\u4e86\u8fd9\u4e9b\u53c2\u6570\u5bf9CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u6eb6\u89e3\u5c01\u5b58\u548c\u675f\u7f1a\u5c01\u5b58\u4e24\u79cd\u673a\u5236\u7684\u5f71\u54cd\u3002<br Creek\u6cb9\u7530\u3001\u6cb9\u85cf\u6570\u503c\u6a21\u62df\u3001CMG\u8f6f\u4ef6\u3001\u654f\u611f\u6027\u5206\u6790\u3002<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ABSTRACT<\/strong><br \/>\nCO2 emissions during recent decades have been increasing due to the use of fossil fuels in the generation of electricity and other industrial processes like oil refineries, cement works, and iron and steel production.<\/p>\n<p>Each power plant emits several millions of tons of carbon dioxide annually during this process. CO2 sequestration has been proposed as one of the best ways to reduce these emissions from the atmosphere and keep them stored underground for long periods of time. Numerous methods of capturing CO2 underground have been proposed (Greenhouse Gas R&amp;D Programme IEA, 2008). The most viable due to their storage capacity, are depleted oil and gas fields, unminable coal seams, and deep saline Aquifers.<br \/>\nDeep saline aquifers are considered the best reservoirs to storage CO2, because they exist in most regions of the world and they have a large capacity of storage. These types of reservoirs have not been studied deeply and for that reason more research is being performed to get a better idea of the geology of sand formations saturated with water, as well as, shale present above these formations which act as barriers to flow. Studies of the solubility and chemical reactions between the CO2 and brine present in the formations also have been completed.<\/p>\n<p>This project presents a simulation study for CO2 sequestration in a saline aquifer below the Gordon Creek Field in Utah. The presented work is a pre-cursor to a pilot project to inject up to 2.94 million tons of CO2 over a four year period. Simulations were used to characterize relative impacts of geologic structures, water characteristics, reservoir flow properties, seal formation characteristics and to identify reasonable injectivity goals for the Navajo and Entrada Sandstones.<\/p>\n<p>A simulation model of the area of interest was constructed using the GRIDGENR module of Nexus and preliminary structural contour maps of the Navajo formation and well logs of the zones of interest. Petrophysical properties were determined using the LESA log analysis software and well logs from the Gordon Creek No. 1 well. CMG simulator was used to model the injection of CO2 into the aquifer formations. CMG was used to model gas trapping due to residual gas saturation, solubility of CO2 into brine and chemical reactions between minerals present in the water, rock and CO2. Storage capacities of carbon dioxide for each trapping mechanism, flow direction into the reservoir and seal performance were analyzed over time. Injectivity goals for the pilot were also validated. Sensitivity Analyses for the most important reservoir parameters were accomplished for brine salinity, temperature, residual gas saturation and initial pressure.
